A calmer home for them
Small habits that make everyday care feel easier.
Chew with intention
Rotate two or three durable toys rather than leaving a pile out. Dogs engage more, and you spot wear before it becomes a swallowed scrap.
Scratch where they already go
Place a tall sisal scratcher beside the sofa or window they claim — cats use what is already on their route, not what looks good in an empty corner.
Elevation helps rest
A raised bed keeps joints off cold floors and gives anxious pets a defined “spot.” Keep one washable cover in rotation so the nest always smells like home.
Brush before the tumble
A quick steel-bristle pass after walks catches loose coat before it nests in cushions. Less vacuuming; calmer skin for them.
Two bowls, one mat
Separate food and water on a non-slip mat cuts sliding and spills. Stainless cleans properly; plastic holds smells you will never quite scrub out.
